The Parkland Community Advisory Council will hold its October meeting on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at 7:00 PM at the Administration Building, located at 1210 Springhouse Rd, Allentown, PA 18104. These monthly meetings are open to the public. The topic of this meeting is Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS): A Framework for School Culture and Climate led by Dr. Jamie Giaquinto, Dr. Jude Sandt, Dr. Monica Ouly-Uhl and Mr. Nate Davidson. Homecoming Spirit / Parkland Pride week—"Pack the Stands, Pack the Bus"—is right around the corner, running from October 5–9, 2026.

Schnecksville will be collecting Meal-in-a-Can (ex. spaghetti, tuna, chili, soup, stew) to benefit Parkland Cares Food Pantry! See the flyer HERE!

Classroom teachers have very limited access to these electronic tools during the school day and in the event of a staff absence the message will not be seen at all. Reporting an Absence

If your child is going to be late or absent, please call the Absentee Hotline: 610-351-5830: Select Option 2 OR email SVATTENDANCE@parklandsd.net by 9:00 am to report the absence. Homework requests may also be left with the message.

If you do not call or provide a written excuse, the absence is considered unlawful/unexcused.
For any planned (full day) or extended student absence from school, please complete a Student Leave of Absence Permit . A week’s notice must be given to complete homework for an absence of three days or more. This form is available from the school office and on our district website.

Students who arrive late or leave early

Any student who arrives late to school (after 8:50 am) or leaves early (before 3:30 pm) from school must have a parent, or other authorized adult, sign them in or out and that person may be required to show identification.

Please note that parents are not to enter the main building due to security reasons, unless requested to do so by the school office.
A written request from the parent is necessary for a student to leave school early. These requests should be given to the classroom teacher in the morning. You may use the "Note to Schnecksville School" pad for convenience.
Upon the parent’s arrival, the child will then be called from class to meet their parent in the lobby.
Whenever possible, please avoid changes to a student’s dismissal plan once the school day has begun. If there is an emergency and plans change during the day, contact the office at 610-351-5830.
In all cases, students will be released only to their custodial parent unless written or verbal permission from the custodial parent is received to do otherwise. That person may be required to show identification.

If your family is experiencing financial hardship and could benefit from extra food support, Parkland CARES and the Parkland School District are offering weekly Snack Packs (4 times per month). These packs include non-perishable snacks and meals to supplement your household groceries.

Participation is 100% voluntary and we strive to keep this information private and confidential.

Please note that supplies are limited. If you would like your child/children to receive a Snack Pack, please fill out the form linked below by Tuesday, September 30. The first delivery is scheduled for October.
