"Reading with Sharks" - Read Alouds with our very own Schnecksville Staff!

Our Schnecksville Staff members have recorded books to support and encourage your children's love of reading over the summer! This week features Mrs. Dopera, Mr. Goodman and Mrs. McFarland! Summer Library

Schnecksville Summer Library begins Thursday June 27th! If your child missed getting a summer library card at the end of the school year, you can sign up the first week of Summer Library! 

Summer Library will be in the Schnecksville Media Center/Library. Enter through the entrance nearest the Library, to the right of the main entrance. Library hours for parents/students will be Thursdays 1:15 pm - 3:15 pm, beginning June 27th for 6 sessions, with the last day on August 8th. No summer library on July 4th!  Happy Reading!

Save the Date

Kindergarten and New Student Orientation, as well as Sneak Peek, will be on August 29th.

Yearbooks have been distributed to classrooms. If you child ordered a yearbook, they will have it Thursday or Friday.

If you missed the yearbook sale, there will be a few available for sale in the office on Friday morning only. You may send $20 CASH with your child and they can purchase a yearbook IN THE OFFICE on Friday morning - first come, first serve.

Recreational Opportunities and Community Events are also on the Parkland web site for your convenience and include many youth recreation opportunities.

5th Grade Highlights:

* The 5th Grade Challenge Hop-a-Thon on 5/31 was a great success! 5th graders raised over $1400.00 to benefit the Gress Mountain Ranch!

* 5th grade Moving Up Ceremony and Celebration will be on Monday June 10th! The Moving Up Ceremony will be at 9:30 am in the gym. The Celebration (for students only) will follow.

Strategies, tips, information, and advice will be shared and practiced in the areas of study skills, organization, time management, and public speaking, among others.
